The tragic incident happened on July 17 at one of the recreation centers in the Zvenigorod district of Cherkasy region. During the conflict between the spouses, a 33-year-old woman was fatally injured by her 26-year-old man with a metal skewer.
According to the police, the couple rest with their friends, and the company consumed alcohol. During the feast between husband and wife, a verbal altercation emerged that quickly grew into a physical clash.
In the heat of emotions, the woman grabbed a metal skewer and struck her husband into the chest. He died from the wound received before the arrival of doctors.
Police promptly detained the attacker. At the scene of the crime removed tools - skewers, as well as other material evidence.
The woman was informed of suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - premeditated murder. She faces up to 15 years in prison.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
