The deputy of the city council of Semenivka, Chernihiv region, was charged with non-compliance with military service and financial fraud, the State Bureau of Investigation reports.
After the beginning of the Russian invasion, the deputy was called up for service, but for five months he did not show up at his destination. His immediate superior did not react to this absence, but on the contrary, entered data that he remains in the service of the border units.
Meanwhile, the deputy illegally received more than 157,000 hryvnias as a military allowance.
Based on this fact, he was informed of the suspicion of evading military service and fraud (Part 4 of Article 409, Part 2 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The deputy faces up to 10 years in prison, and the issue of selecting a preventive measure for him is being decided.
