In the Chernihiv region, the evacuation of residents of the border community of Semenivska, which is suffering from shelling by Russian troops, continues. Over the past three days, more than 50 people, including children and citizens with limited mobility, were evacuated from the dangerous area.
Yevhen Kaplin, head of the "Prolisok" humanitarian mission, reported that on Saturday, January 11, 24 local residents were evacuated.
- Including:
- 4 children;
- 10 persons with reduced mobility.
Evacuation was carried out with the help of a special medical transport, in which medical workers were present to provide assistance in case of need.
All evacuees were transported to Chernihiv, where they were temporarily placed:
- in dormitories;
- in modular towns for internally displaced persons;
- or to relatives who live in safe areas of the region.
According to Yevhen Kaplin, the evacuation is free of charge, and each of the displaced receives temporary housing and the necessary support.
The shelling of the Semenivska community creates a constant danger for local residents, especially for vulnerable groups of the population. Evacuation has become an important part of efforts to protect the population in the border regions.
Humanitarian missions continue to help people in crisis by providing transport, medical care and housing.
