In Dnipropetrovsk, law enforcement officers exposed a criminal group that sold cars imported as humanitarian assistance for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to preliminary data, the organizer and its accomplices sold at least 10 vehicles.
How was the criminal scheme
According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, the resident of the Dnieper organized the criminal activity. His group included five more, including the director of the charitable organization, two organizer brothers and their acquaintance.
The scheme worked as follows:
- One of the accomplices searched for European registration cars in Poland.
- The vehicles were delivered to border checkpoints.
- The director of the charitable organization issued customs declarations and guarantee letters, which allowed the import of cars into Ukraine under the simplified procedure as humanitarian assistance for the Armed Forces.
- The suspects were then driven into cars deep into the country, after which they placed announcements about their sale on online platforms and on social networks at prices lower than market.
That managed to install the investigation
According to preliminary data, criminals managed to sell at least 10 cars. During the searches from the suspects seized:
- Cash,
- Documents confirming equipment,
- Cars,
- Other material evidence.
Law enforcement officers are currently resolving the issue of precautionary measures to the suspect.
Case resonance and liability
This case has become widely publicized, since the use of humanitarian aid for personal enrichment is not only a criminal offense, but also an immoral act at a time when military needs comprehensive support.
For such a crime, participants of the scheme are threatened with responsibility for illegal humanitarian aid, which is provided by the Criminal Code of Ukraine. In the case of guilt, they are threatened with a long term of imprisonment.

He assured customers that it was impossible to obtain a certificate without his services.
