In Ivano-Frankivsk region, law enforcement officers detained two teenagers who, according to the investigation, set fire to military vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As the National Police of Ukraine reported, during July they set fire to three military vehicles in Kalush and Dolyna.
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) established that two residents of Dolyna Territorial Community of Kaluska District, aged 15 and 18, were involved in these crimes. The investigation revealed that one of the teenagers, a 15-year-old local resident, found a job offer in Telegram channels. After that, he was offered money in exchange for cooperation, which consisted in setting fire to military vehicles.
The law enforcement officers detained the teenagers during an attempt to set two more cars on fire at the same time. They were suspected of committing a crime under Article 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (sabotage), which provides for liability in the form of imprisonment for a term of 10 to 15 years. The investigation continues, and law enforcement officers are identifying all those involved in the organization of these crimes.
