On the evening of May 21, a serious road accident occurred in Lviv, which causes a 21-year-old resident of the city. The accident happened at the intersection of Shota Rustaveli and Kostomarov streets, Lviv region reported.
According to preliminary data, the Toyota Camry under the control of a 45-year-old Lviv resident collided with the Volkswagen EOS , which was driven by a 25-year-old local. After the collision Volkswagen drove to a public transport stop, where the 21-year-old Lviv woman was located.
The car demolished part of the glass pavilion of the stop and crashed between it and the stall of ticket sales. The moment of the crash was recorded by CCTV cameras located nearby, as well as eyewitnesses who published a video on social networks.
The injured girl was seriously injured-closed traumatic brain injury, concussion, multiple fractures. She was hospitalized at St. Luke Hospital, where she underwent surgery to install the external fixation apparatus on her left leg. The patient's condition remains difficult - it is in resuscitation, connected to the apparatus of artificial lung ventilation.
Investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - a violation of traffic safety rules, which caused the injuries of moderate or serious injuries. The circumstances of the accident are established.
