A Peugeot passenger car and a Mercedes-Benz bus collided on the Kurovychi-Rohatyn highway in the village of Tumne, Lviv Region. As a result of the accident, seven people were injured, including the driver of the car and six passengers of the bus. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the region.
The accident happened on January 10, around 7:30 p.m., on the Kurovychi-Rohatyn highway in the village of Thamne, Lviv district.
As previously determined by law enforcement officers, there was a collision between a Peugeot 3008 driven by a 36-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk and a Mercedes-Benz bus driven by a 39-year-old resident of the Lviv district.
"As a result of the accident, the car driver and six bus passengers: 17, 18, and 41-year-old residents of the Lviv district, a 67-year-old Lviv woman, a 28-year-old resident of the Lviv district, and a 48-year-old resident of the Zolochiv district - received physical injuries and were taken to medical institutions", the police informed.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under 1 Art. 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
