On the Kurovychi-Rohatyn highway in the village of Zatemne, Lviv region, a Peugeot passenger car and a Mercedes-Benz bus collided. Seven people were injured as a result of the accident, including the driver of the passenger car and six bus passengers. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the region.
The accident occurred on January 10, at around 7:30 p.m., on the Kurovychi-Rohatyn highway in the village of Zatemne, Lviv district.
As previously established by law enforcement officers, a collision occurred between a Peugeot 3008 car, driven by a 36-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk, and a Mercedes-Benz bus driven by a 39-year-old resident of Lviv district.
"As a result of the accident, the driver of the car and six bus passengers: residents of the Lviv district aged 17, 18 and 41, a 67-year-old Lviv woman, a 28-year-old resident of the Lviv district and a 48-year-old resident of the Zolochiv district - received injuries and were taken to medical facilities," the police reported.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of Road Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
