In Odessa, a doctor of one of the outpatient clinics of the city council, which is accused of abusing influence, will stand in the court. According to police, the doctor demanded a bribe from a patient with disabilities for falsification of medical documents. He faces up to five years in prison.
As the investigation was established, a 52-year-old man with a disabled person to consult the group. However, the doctor decided to use the situation in his own interests - he hinted that the "solution" was only possible for a $ 600 fee.
For these funds, the doctor promised to influence the officials of one of the city hospitals to give them fictitious documents on inpatient treatment without actual hospitalization. This, in turn, made it possible to send the patient to a medical and social expert commission.
Law enforcement officers detained the physician simply in the workplace while transferring a bribe. He was withdrawn in cash and other material evidence relevant to the investigation.
The pre -trial investigation is now completed and the indictment has been transferred to court. The detainee was chosen a precautionary measure in the form of 24 -hour house arrest.
The prosecution was made under Part 2 of Art. 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine-obtaining an undue benefit for influencing the decision-making by persons authorized to perform the functions of the state. The case in court will be represented by the Black Sea District Prosecutor's Office.
