The Hadyatsky District Court of Poltava Oblast found guilty of a 46-year-old resident of Poltava region in deliberately evading mobilization. The man was sentenced to three years in prison, but was released from serving a sentence of one year. The sentence was issued in Case No. 526/4127/24.
According to the case file, on August 24, 2024, the man received a summons and had to arrive at the territorial centennial center on August 26. However, the call did not appear. In court, he pleaded guilty, explaining that the day before receiving the summons he got to the hospital because of poisoning, where he was handed the document. Due to the poor state of health and the belief that he is unsuitable for health problems, he never appeared in the shopping center.
As it turned out during the consideration of the case, a man from childhood had heart defects that were grounds for release from conscript service. In January 2024, the Medical Commission revealed a disease that needed treatment, and was recognized only in March of that year. However, he did not start the service by the time of re -call.
In February 2025, the accused was a cold injury - frostbite fingers of both feet, which led to the amputation of both lower extremities. Currently, a man is not able to move independently and needs assistance. His wife, who in 2023 suffered a stroke is also disabled, the spouse raises two minor children.
The court found the man guilty of Art. 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (evasion of conscription), however, given the circumstances of the case, delayed the execution of punishment with the probationary period.
