People who attack elderly people and record attacks on video are wanted in Prykarpattia

The police of the Ivano-Frankivsk region are looking for unknown persons who committed a series of attacks, mainly on elderly people and middle-aged men in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. Criminals recorded their crimes on video and posted them on social networks.

According to the police of Prykarpattia, unknown persons have been recorded on video recordings, who are attacking residents of Ivano-Frankivsk, in particular, elderly people. In the video, the criminals inflict physical injuries on bystanders and use gas canisters.

Several mass media have already released the videos that are being shared on social networks. They show two or three assailants, usually from behind, attacking prone women and men walking peacefully down a street or in a park. The attackers knock them down, pour gas into their eyes and continue to beat them.

The police initiated criminal proceedings under Article 296, part 4 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. However, so far none of the victims has contacted the police. The police are calling on the public to help identify the attackers.
