In the village of Gorodok, Rivne district, a 14-year-old boy was struck by a current when he climbed on the roof of a freight wagon to take a photo. The incident happened near the railway track - the schoolboy, along with two friends, rode bicycles.
According to police, the teenager handed his phone to his friend and, despite the caveat, rose to the wagon. At the moment he raised his hands, he was hit by an electric arc from the contact network, with a voltage of 27 thousand volts.
The power of the impact was such that a powerful explosion occurred. The sound was promptly reacted by rail workers who called an ambulance. Despite serious injuries, the guy remained in the face and even went down on his own.
The teenager is currently in intensive care. Doctors evaluate his condition as severe but stable.
Police emphasize that approaching the contact network, even without physical contact, can lead to current. The electric arc can punch the space up to 1.5 meters.
