In Sumy region, a case against a 51-year-old woman was sent to court, who in early April threw a hand grenade in one of the cafe near Okhtyrka. About it reports police of Sumy region.
According to investigators, the woman came to the establishment with explosives in her hand. She was angered by the fact that the visitors of the cafe "rest in wartime", which she considered inappropriate. As a "argument" she used a grenade found - according to her, an explosive woman found an explosive in a garage cooperative.
In the institution, she began to threaten the audience, and subsequently threw the grenade into the territory of the cafe. Fortunately, the explosion did not occur and no one was injured.
Law enforcement officers arrived at the place, who promptly seized an explosive object. The examination confirmed that it was a shrapnel hand grenade. The woman was detained in the order of Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
The case was investigated by two articles: Part 4 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism with the use of explosives) and Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code (illegal handling of weapons and explosives). The indictment is sent to court. She faces up to seven years in prison.
