From Poland to Ukraine, a resident of the city of Buchach, Ternopil region, who is suspected of organizing the illegal transfer of military people abroad, was extradited. According to the prosecutor's office, the man, together with his accomplice, created a fictitious transport enterprise and designed the evasion of drivers to take them outside Ukraine.
He registered the firm for international transportation in 2022, but not for real business. The enterprise was only a cover. For $ 6-7 thousand, "carriers" were introduced by the military to the "Path" system, where they received permission to leave the country allegedly as drivers. In fact, many of them did not even have driver's license.
The investigation has already proved five facts of illegal crossing people, although the total number of transported - several dozen. The investigation into other episodes is ongoing.
After the suspicion was announced, the organizer of the scheme fled abroad, but was detained at the airport of Poland and transferred to Ukrainian law enforcement. Another group member is now being wanted - he is also planned to be extracted.
On July 21, the Ternopil City Court ruled to keep the suspect in custody. He is charged with the organization of illegal crossing of persons through the state border within an organized group (Part 3 of Article 27, Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). In case of guilt, the man faces up to 9 years in prison, confiscation of property and prohibition to hold certain positions.
