In the Volyn region, a man was convicted who managed a group on a social network, where he published information about the location of TCC employees, as well as about mobilization events. This became known from the verdict of the Kovel city and district court of the Volyn region in case No. 159/7546/24.
According to the case file, the man was the administrator of a Viber group with more than 13,000 subscribers. The accused published there information about the location of TCC representatives and their mobilization activities.
By his actions, he obstructed the legitimate activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations. Publications in the messenger made it difficult or impossible to carry out the legal activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations or significantly reduced their effectiveness.
Thus, by his deliberate actions, the man committed a criminal offense provided for in part. 1 Art. 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. At the court, he pleaded guilty to this criminal offense and signed an agreement with the prosecutor.
The court released the man from a real prison term with a probationary period of 12 months. The verdict can be appealed in the Volyn Court of Appeal within 30 days.
