In Rakhiv region, law enforcement officers exposed another scheme of illegal transfer of servicemen across the state border. According to the police of the Transcarpathian region, the organizer was the 45-year-old resident of the village of Verkhne Vodyane.
The man established a scheme of escape to Romania for persons who evade mobilization. According to the investigation, he searched for clients, transported them to bypass the checkpoints to one of the settlements of Rakhiv district, and then - sent on a motorcycle to the border river Tisa. There the fugitives had to swim to Romania on their own. For such services, the man demanded $ 8,000 per client.
The attacker was detained during an attempt to ship a 27-year-old resident of Donetsk region. During the search, police seized a car, a motorcycle, cash received for services, and other material evidence.
The man was detained in the order of Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine. He is charged with Part 3 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - "illegal crossing of persons across the state border committed for selfish motives by an organized group or repeated."
The investigation is ongoing, police establish other possible accomplices of the criminal scheme.
