In the village of Iza, Transcarpathian region, border guards and investigators detained a local resident who promised to organize the illegal crossing of the border of a military man for $ 13,000. This was reported by the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the offender offered the client a "safe route" through the mountain area of the Ukrainian-Romanian border. He was detained immediately after receiving the entire amount of undue benefit - just on the outskirts of the village of Iza.
The case is investigated under Article 332 (3) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - the illegal transfer of persons across the state border committed for selfish reasons. The man has already been reported suspicion.
If his guilt is proved in court, he is threatened with imprisonment for a term of 7 to 9 years with confiscation of property.
Law enforcement officers are reminded that attempts to leave the territory of Ukraine in martial law illegally - a criminal offense for both those who run and those who contribute to them.
