NABU and SAPO have uncovered a corruption scheme in the Verkhovna Rada, linked to a People's Deputy from the Servant of the People party. This time, Mykola Zadorozhny, who is suspected of extorting a bribe of 3.4 million hryvnias, is under the sights of law enforcement agencies.
According to media reports, this is Mykola Zadorozhny, who is suspected of extorting a bribe for not obstructing the repair of the water supply system.
According to the investigation, in March 2024, the People's Deputy offered to give him a kickback for not obstructing the tender for the repair of the water supply system in the Okhtyrsky district of the Sumy region.
As reported by NABU and SAPO, the kickback amounted to 10% of the total amount of the concluded contract, and another 4% was to be transferred to law enforcement officers so that they would “turn a blind eye” to the violations. According to the investigation, this amounts to UAH 3.4 million.
