On Thursday, August 21, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine conducted searches at employees of the Security Service of Ukraine. According to the investigation, the SBU officers may have received UAH 4.2 million in bribes for providing official information to a person associated with oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky. This was reported by the ZN.UA newspaper, citing a resolution of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court.
The searches targeted Ivan Sukhorada, deputy head of the Main Directorate for Counterintelligence Support of Critical Infrastructure Facilities of the SBU, and Petro Dudar, head of the department. According to the investigation, they could have provided information about the situation in the energy sector and criminal proceedings of the SBU to Bohdan Yakymets, who is the contact person between Kolomoisky and the SBU leadership.
It is reported that NABU received evidence for the searches after checking Yakymets' phone, which was seized during a search in February 2025. The phone contained correspondence with Sukhorada and Dudar, as well as information about the cases of PJSC "Ukrnafta" and PJSC "Ukrtatnafta".
At this time, Sukhorada and Dudar have been suspended from their positions. They are under the control of the SBU.
In the context of recent events, it is noted that NABU detectives Ruslan Magomedrasulov and other colleagues, accused by the SBU of treason, previously investigated Yakymets' case. Due to this, the SBU received access to all materials of the NABU investigation into him.
This situation has become part of a broader conflict between anti-corruption agencies and the SBU, particularly against the backdrop of accusations of facilitating the escape of Kolomoisky's business partners and investigations into possible ties between NABU detectives and Russia.
