The Chief of Staff of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Roman Hladky, found himself at the center of a scandal after an investigation by "Toronto Television" revealed that he crossed the Russian border 26 times in 2014-2015.
This investigation highlights serious questions about his possible ties to Russia and occupied Crimea.
According to the data, during Hladky's tenure as the head of the surface and underwater forces department of the Armed Forces Navy Command, he crossed the border of the Russian Federation 8 times. There is no precise data on checkpoints, which makes it difficult to determine its route. However, such activity raises serious suspicions about possible ties with Russia.
In addition, it is mentioned that Hladky's wife, Elena, crossed the Russian border 22 times during the same period. The media also reported that she allegedly has Russian citizenship and lives in the occupied Crimea, although these data require additional confirmation.
As a result of these discoveries, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi initiated a special inspection conducted by the SBU. Hladky was removed from his duties and is currently under investigation.
