More often, money is stolen online, less often through devices (ATMs, self-service terminals, etc.).
In this case, people are often deceived - what is called social engineering. The main schemes are as follows:
– scammers sending fake messages about the possibility of receiving assistance from the state and social funds: people follow our links to fraudulent sites and leave information that allows them to steal money from accounts;
– making a duplicate SIM card of a person's financial phone number (to which the account is linked), after which access to mobile banking is hacked and funds are stolen from the account or online loans are issued;
– a call from people pretending to be bank security staff (via so-called call centers). Under various pretexts, they try to find out payment card details or provoke a person into making a payment in order to steal funds;
– spreading messages on social networks for fake payments, purchases, or to obtain money transfers in favor of fraudsters.
