The National Police of Ukraine conducted searches at Avtomagistral-Pivden LLC, which is the general contractor under the Great Construction program. Suspicions regarding possible financial abuses relate to losses in the total amount of about 1 billion hryvnias.
We are talking about losses of 1 billion hryvnias. The company is suspected of violating tender procedures and arbitrarily setting prices for the cost of works in various regions of Ukraine. The management of the general contractor of Great Construction illegally increased the cost of goods through an artificial markup in the supply chain, as well as entered inaccurate information into the acts of completed works, which caused particularly large losses to the state budget - in the amount of more than a billion hryvnias.
Urgent searches of the workplaces and residences of officials of this company were conducted in connection with receiving operational information that documents testifying to criminal activity may be destroyed in the near future. During the searches, documents were seized, as well as digital media with information useful for the investigation.
