The National Police of Ukraine reported the results of a large-scale operation to uncover the scheme of illegal crossing of the state border. During the investigation, 600 searches were conducted in 22 regions of the country, as a result of which more than 60 convictions were announced to the organizers and participants of illegal schemes.
"In one day, the police eliminated almost fifty schemes of illegal border crossing by men of conscription age in 22 regions of the country," the message reads.
Among the detected devices are reshipment outside the checkpoints, forgery of health documents, fictitious entries in the "Shlyah" information system, and others.
Among those involved are heads of hospitals of various levels, officials of the TCC, MSEK and VLK, as well as civilians who were looking for potential "clients" through acquaintances and closed telegram channels.
For those who wanted to avoid mobilization, their "services" cost from 5 to 22 thousand dollars. The involved parties legalized the received money through the purchase of cars and real estate, and in some cases took it offshore, the police said.
During the searches, the police seized lists of transported persons for the year 2024, fake documents and seals of various state authorities, weapons, black bookkeeping, and cash in various currencies.
"Investigators announced 60 suspicions for illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine. Among the suspects are both ordinary performers and organizers, including heads of state institutions of various levels," the message reads.
The actions of the participants are qualified under part. 3 Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine. For what they have committed, they face up to nine years of imprisonment with confiscation of property and deprivation of the right to hold certain positions.
The first stage of the special operation has been completed, the pre-trial investigation is ongoing. The police, as indicated, are identifying others involved in the organization of schemes for illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine during the war.
