As a result of a large-scale cyberattack on the state registers of Ukraine, which became one of the largest in history, the Ministry of Justice suspended the possibility of obtaining deferments in the "Reserve+" program. However, the registers of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continue to work without interruption, although there may be delays in processing requests.
Kateryna Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitization, confirmed that thanks to the coordinated work of the Cyber Incident Response Center of the Ministry of Defense, the registers of the Ministry of Defense are working normally. She also noted that the team monitors the situation around the clock, warning of possible cyber threats, which allows for continuous operation of the systems.
Due to restoration work in the state registers of the Ministry of Justice, the possibility of receiving deferrals in the "Reserve+" application was suspended. Currently, only received deferrals are available in the "Reserve+" program, which remain valid and are displayed correctly. At the same time, Chernogorenko noted that all efforts are aimed at restoring this service as soon as possible.
According to Chernogorenko, the registers of the Ministry of Defense work without failures, however, due to the large number of requests, waiting for documents in the "Reserve+" program may take longer than usual. However, electronic reports and military registration documents remain available to citizens.
The Justice Department continues to work to restore access to its mission-critical systems, which could take up to two weeks. At the same time, Deputy Prime Minister Olga Stefanishyna reported that the leakage of data from state registers after this attack has not been confirmed yet.
