NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, called a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council at the request of Ukraine, which will take place on Wednesday, January 10, in connection with the recent missile and drone attacks by Russia. It is noted that on December 29, 2023, Russian troops carried out a massive air strike on Ukraine, using kamikaze drones and various types of missiles.
Air defense of Ukraine took control of the situation, destroying 27 drones and 88 cruise missiles of various types. However, as a result of the attack, significant destruction was experienced in Kyiv, in particular in the Shevchenkiv district, where warehouses were damaged, and a total of 32 people died.
On January 2, Russian troops once again attacked Ukraine, using various means of air attack. As a result of this attack, 130 people were injured and five died. More than 250 civilian objects were also damaged.
