Ukrainian People's Deputy Oleksiy Ariev became the object of sharp criticism after he published a video from a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, where he showed how air conditioners and lights work in the room. This happened in the context of high temperatures that are bothering Ukrainians all over the country, but especially in the capital, where the heat is becoming a real problem for local residents.
People's deputy from "European Solidarity" Volodymyr Aryev showed that while the heat outside is +35 degrees, the air temperature in the Verkhovna Rada, the Cabinet of Ministers and the President's Office is very comfortable thanks to the air conditioners. It's +21 degrees there.
On his Facebook page, he showed that it is not only cool inside the walls of the parliament, when Ukrainians, having no light, suffer from the heat.
At the same time, on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada, all the lights are on in broad daylight. Full illumination.
Earlier, the secretary of the Kyiv City Council, Volodymyr Bondarenko, warned that four hours with light during the day and four hours with light at night is the best scenario that Ukraine can afford today, given the difficult situation with power generation. However, the situation in the Verkhovna Rada is apparently stable.
