Journalists from Bihus.Info discovered evidence of cooperation between Artem Dmytrouk, a People's Deputy of the non-factional bloc, and Serhiy Chertylin, who is suspected of committing five crimes against Ukraine.
According to the received information provided by the journalists, the correspondence between the suspect Chertylin and People's Deputy Dmytruk is confirmed. In the mentioned correspondence, Chertylin reports on the results of the meeting with Dmytruk, where the latter expressed readiness for full cooperation. Dmytruk expressed his gratitude for the legal analysis of Law 8371, which concerns the activities of religious organizations and successfully convinced some deputies.
Artem Dmytruk himself, in a conversation with a journalist, confirmed that he met to discuss the "protection" of the UOC-MP in Ukraine.
Dmytrouk's direct speech is as follows: "Of course, we met, of course, we talked. Did we discuss the pressure on the UOC? Of course, it was discussed. Have we considered possible edits? Well, you can say that it was not developed, but considered. However, every day we can observe how representatives of the OCU seize churches, attack priests, insult parishioners and commit other illegal actions against citizens.
I, Artem Dmytruk, stand for the protection of the rights of all citizens of Ukraine, regardless of their religious beliefs, racial characteristics or other views."
In another chat, the mentioned treason suspect Chertylin mentions the surname Kultenko, who seems to be given the amendments to the law on the Moscow Church in Ukraine.
Journalists assume that it may be about Artem Kultenko, who is a seminarian of the Kyiv Theological Academy of the Moscow Patriarchate and a People's Deputy from the "Servant of the People" party.
Dmytruk and Kultenko abstained from voting for the ban of the Russian Church in the first reading. At the same time, both of them publicly express their support for the Russian patriarchate in Ukraine.
It is worth noting that Dmytruk is known for several scandals. He was one of the three "anti-vaccinators" named by the head of the "Servant of the People" faction, David Arahamiya. Dmytruk was expelled from the Servant of the People faction in November 2021.
In February 2024, Dmytruk provided bail for a monk of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Hierodeacon of the UOC MP, Pavlo Muzychuk, who was detained by the Security Service of Ukraine on suspicion of justifying and recognizing as legitimate the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
On March 12, 2024, the SBU liquidated a criminal organization in Kyiv, known as the media block of the UOC MP, which promoted religious enmity. This organization was headed by a person who was part of the intelligence apparatus of the Russian special services. According to the UOC, it was about Chertylin.
