The deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Maryana Bezugla expressed her categorical position against the draft law concerning the legislation on the voluntary abandonment of military units. In her statement, she noted that she did not support the initiative, as she considers it "legalization of desertion."
However, People's Deputy Fedienko stated that Bezugla voted for this draft law, and showed the corresponding screen.
"The committee did not approve any legalization of deserters. So there is a problem with mobilization, so there are problems with microwaves. But no one canceled article 408 of the CCU (desertion). And the court only recognizes a military serviceman, a deserter or a SZCH, and this is already a different classification in the CCU and responsibility," comments Fedienko.
We will remind you that the draft law was adopted yesterday in the first reading. It eases the responsibility for the first SZH if the soldier has returned to duty.
