Ukrainian MP Solomiya Bobrovska expressed deep concern about NATO's attitude towards Ukraine ahead of the expected summit of the alliance in Washington. According to her, NATO is more willing to give Ukraine to Russia than to take it under its "umbrella", choosing verbal expressions to avoid using the term "invitation" of Ukraine to the alliance.
It seems that this year's NATO summit in Washington is again about the alliance's weakness in the face of challenges, said People's Deputy Solomiya Bobrovska. At the same time, she added that, unfortunately, this summit will not bring prospects or hopes to Ukraine.
"Strengthening of air defense, changing aid coordination formats, pains in finding verbal expressions so that there is absolutely no word "invitation", and a warning from last year that we do not push the membership of the States at the summit this year - real geopolitics and an unpleasant shower for Ukrainians" , — noted the politician on Facebook.
At the same time, she emphasized that the whole matter here is not about Ukraine, corruption, MAP or something else. According to her, it is not Ukraine that is not ready for membership, it is the Alliance that is not ready and unable to confront Russia.
"On the one hand, this is understandable, because no one needs a theater of hostilities further beyond our borders, and on the other hand, against the background of the effective alliance that the Russian Federation is building around itself, it still seems that Ukraine is ready to give way rather than be accepted into the pool of Western umbrellas It turns out interestingly, Muscovy is ready to gnaw for us to the last in order to win, the North Atlantic Alliance periodically gives us "pills for the head", and the Ukrainians have only one way out - a war for themselves," said the People's Deputy.
Therefore, says Bobrovska, while the axis of evil is consolidating and slowly moving towards hegemony in the world, NATO is chewing on the wording of "irreversibility" and "open door", which have already been delivered to Ukraine at least twice.
At the same time, she notes that the decisions to strengthen Ukraine's air defense were made even earlier, before the attack on Ukraine on July 8, and they were aimed at ensuring that Ukraine simply did not leave empty-handed.
