The Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) appealed to the Acting Prosecutor General Alexei Khomenko with the initiative to open a new criminal proceedings against the People's Deputy from the Trust group Sergei Shakhov. The basis was the journalistic investigation of "Schemes", which refers to the non -aligned luxurious life of politics abroad.
According to the SAP, journalists found that Shakhov, whom the National Anti -Corruption Bureau has been searched from March 2023 in the case of non -polishing of property worth over UAH 88 million, has been living in elite apartments in Dubai all this time. Housing rent is issued for his civilian wife, and the deputy himself does not make expenses to the declaration.
"According to the results of the processing of information published in the journalistic investigation, the SAP initiated the submission of relevant data to the ERDR on April 25, 2025 on April 2025 on the possible submission of false information in the declarations of the People's Deputy for 2022, 2023 and 2024,"
It is a criminal offense under part 2 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine-"Declaration of false information". If guilt is proven, chess is threatened:

a fine or restraint of liberty for a term of up to 2 years;

Deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions up to 3 years.
This is not the first proceedings against the People's Deputy, which, despite the search, does not appear in Ukraine. The previous materials of the journalists referred to Shakhov's presence not only of non -aligned property, but also about a whole set of elite assets registered for relatives and related persons.
It is worth noting that the trust group, which includes Sergei Shakhov, has an impact in a number of regions and regularly supports pro -government initiatives in the Verkhovna Rada.
