The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) announced the suspicion of People's Deputy of Ukraine Kostyantyn Bondarev for organizing the illegal transportation of men of draft age across the state border. Investigators found that the deputy helped at least 18 men leave the country using false documents that confirmed their status as "drivers".
As we learned from our own sources, it is about Kostyantyn Bondarev.
Starting in July 2022, the people's deputy sent letters on his behalf to the State Border Service of Ukraine about granting permission for men to leave under the guise of drivers who were supposed to accompany him abroad
So far, 23 cases have been recorded when, on the basis of the MP's letters, 18 men of draft age crossed the state border without him, because at the time of their crossing he was either already abroad or did not leave the country at all.
Interestingly, sometimes Bondarev needed up to 5 drivers at the same time for his trips abroad. And as it is currently known, three of them did not return to Ukraine.
The People's Deputy was notified of the suspicion of organizing illegal transportation of persons across the state border using official position and official forgery (Part 2 of Article 332, Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)
In particular, the sanction of the specified articles provides for a punishment of up to seven years of imprisonment. The deputy was also handed a motion to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention, which will be considered by an investigating judge. At the same time, searches are being conducted for the suspect and persons who illegally crossed the border.
