The People's Deputy of Ukraine, exposed by the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) for a corruption offense, was entered into the Unified State Register of persons who committed corrupt or corruption-related actions.
According to the mass media, it is about Oleksandr Dubinsky. The deputy, using his powers, tried to influence the investigation in a criminal case in which he is a defendant.
This became known from the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI).
The law enforcement officers do not specify the name of the people's deputy, however, according to the media, it is Oleksandr Dubinskyi.
"In March 2024, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv found the incumbent People's Deputy guilty of committing an administrative offense related to corruption. In December 2024, the Court of Appeal upheld this sentence," the State Bureau of Investigation reported.
According to the investigation materials, the Bureau found out that in August and October 2023, the people's elected representative sent parliamentary requests to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the SBI, which raised issues of his private interest.
"In his questions, he was interested in considering the issue of granting him permission to travel abroad, which is the subject of a criminal case in which the deputy is a defendant. He also tried to put pressure on the investigation, demanding to initiate inspections of the leadership of law enforcement agencies investigating criminal proceedings in which the deputy is a suspect," the report states.
The SBI clarified that with such actions, the parliamentarian violated the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention of Corruption", for which administrative responsibility is provided.
After the decision entered into legal force, the data on the people's deputy were entered into the Unified State Register of persons who committed corruption or corruption-related offenses.
