The People's Deputy of Ukraine was informed of suspicion of treason for spreading narratives of the aggressor state and promoting subversive activities against Ukraine. The suspect was brought forward under the procedural guidance of the General Prosecutor's Office, and now the prosecutors are preparing a motion to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention.
According to the investigation data, the suspected deputy systematically spread distorted facts about the external and internal political course of Ukraine in his public speeches and interviews. In particular, he disseminated information that contributed to manipulations, forming citizens' wrong opinion and attitude to important state issues.
A complex psycholinguistic and military examination showed that the deputy's actions harmed Ukraine's defense capabilities even before the start of a full-scale war. The statements he posted on social networks were aimed at undermining information security and creating a basis for anti-Ukrainian activities.
So far, the investigation has established that by his actions, the deputy actually contributed to the aggressor state in conducting a subversive information war against Ukraine. His statements became an important tool in the manipulations used to divide society and weaken state stability.
The Prosecutor General's Office plans to submit a petition to the court to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention. This is aimed not only at ensuring responsibility for the committed actions, but also at preventing further possible threats to the national security of Ukraine.
