On the Kupyan direction, having a significant advantage on the ground and in the air, the Russians are stubbornly fighting head-on into the Ukrainian defense. Military commentator Kostyantyn Mashovets ironically suggests spreading this best practice to other areas of the front.
Kupyan direction
Obviously, the enemy encountered certain difficulties here.
The attempt of the enemy command to "develop success" in the area of the village. Tabaivka et al. Starch by the forces of the 2nd "Taman" motorized rifle division (msd) of the 1st "guards" tank army (hv. TA), in particular, in the form of advancing to the flank and rear of our units, which continue to hold the Ivanivka - Kotlyarivka line, they did not turns out
An alternative course of action, in the form of advancing towards the village. Pishchane also encountered strong objections from the Armed Forces .
Moreover, the enemy's positions in the area of the village Tabaivka et al. Krokhmalne are in a rather inconvenient position for organizing and conducting any offensive actions.
The fact is that, for their part, the advanced positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are located here on commanding heights in relation to this area, and Ukrainian troops, in such a case, have the opportunity by inflicting effective fire damage on the nearest tactical zone of the enemy to significantly hinder him in this sense .
Any concentration and deployment of the enemy's forces immediately catches the "eyes" of the Ukrainian troops, and they, by inflicting fire damage, make this process very difficult for the enemy.
In other words, the advanced units of the 15th motorized rifle regiment (msp), the 1st tank regiment (tp) and the 2nd msd of the enemy, which are trying to advance here, faced quite significant difficulties.
Precisely in order to overcome them, the enemy's command is now acting in a way quite familiar to it - it is trying to strengthen its strike tactical group operating in this area with additional forces and means. The movement of at least 3 additional assault units (one company each) to the areas east of Kotlyarivka, district 128.7 and north-east of Tabaivka is recorded.
Therefore, I think that in the near future the enemy will make another attempt to "break through in the northwest direction" (along the Kupyansk-Svatovo road) in this area in the form of a series of accentuated attacking/assault actions.
In addition, the "hustle" continues north and northwest of the village. Sinkivka The advanced units of the 25th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade (omsbr), reinforced by units of the 138th omsbr (both from the 6th Combined Arms Army \ZVA of the enemy) do not abandon their attempts to break through along the Oskil River and the railway, which go from the north, along the general of the Sinkivka-Petropavlivka directorate to the left-bank part of Kupyansk and the Kupyansk-Svatov road.
But it turns out for them in a rather strange way.
They repeatedly try to "push through" the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, operating from the edge of the forest south of Liman Pershy, but every time, as soon as they advance to an open area, they come under heavy fire.
Moreover, in some cases the advanced units of these two brigades are even forced to leave their advanced observation posts and detachment positions.
The enemy command in this area tries to act in an allegedly non-standard and non-standard way, constantly changes the direction of attacks and assaults - sometimes they will take the western part of Sinkivka, then the eastern one (from Vilshana), then they will try "through the forest", then they will even try simultaneously, but again and again they will come across a dense fire of the Armed Forces.
I, for example, understand what they can't do, but I wonder how much more the command of the 6th ZVA will "destroy" the enemy's reserves, which are driven to them in a permanent mode, before it will understand (well, or remember) one simple truth, which was he taught at the time in the corresponding, obviously, still Soviet military educational institutions?
The enemy has enough forces and resources, air superiority and artillery are available, but the offensive of this army again and again results in frontal attacks "for squeezing".
Well, "master is a gentleman", continue in the same spirit.
It is desirable to spread the best experience of the 6th ZVA to other sections and areas of the front.
