An offensive in the direction of Kursk can change the course of the war - Kurpas

The Kursk offensive may become a decisive factor in the war between Russia and Ukraine, as it opens up new opportunities for Ukrainian troops. The author, political technologist Oleksiy Kurpas, notes that tactical innovations and potential control over the Kursk NPP can significantly affect the course of the conflict.

The offensive in the direction of Kursk has certain interesting nuances that I would like to pay attention to, because it can become a fairly important factor in the Russian-Ukrainian war. I'll start with the global...

Let's be honest, the Russians actually swallowed the Ukrainian answer in silence. Apart from the drunkard Medvedev, no one made any statements, and even China is silent about "territorial integrity", is it already pulling its army to the border? This factor raises the level of danger in all Russian regions and, if events develop, will play in our favor against the Russian authorities (although with their level of police state, wrong thoughts are beaten with batons).

For the first time in two and a half years of war, Ukrainian soldiers have the tactical initiative, having actually seized it from the Russians (the main thing is to keep it now). This tactic was used by the Russians from the beginning of 2023, when they forced the Ukrainians to reflect on different sections of the front line without the possibility of real planning of military operations and effective use of the reserve. Now the Russians have been forced to reflect, and with the right strategy, it can give the effect of several breakthroughs in the Russian defense.

A new tactic of using EWs and FPV drones. Here we have had priority since the first days of the war, but now, when the Russians are quickly learning to counter our methods of struggle, I want to note the latest capabilities of our drone operators. Rusnia howls that they have already limited the use of helicopters because SBU drones shoot them down in the air. In other words, a technique costing under 20 million dollars is beaten by a Ukrainian invention costing thousands of times cheaper. It is generally an interesting story that it was the Security Service of Ukraine from the time of Malyuk that became a real innovator in this war, first changing the situation in the Black Sea in our favor, and now it can also solve the issue of air supremacy.

Well, it is still under question, but the Kursk NPP factor is possible. If it can be taken under control, it will become a good bargaining chip in the negotiations about the Russian-captured ZANEP. And here the Russians themselves have shown how it is possible to seize and hold a nuclear power plant, so let's not discount this factor yet. And for us, the ZNPE is important for the winter period.
