A meeting of the Senior Supervisory Board of the Joint NATO-Ukraine Analysis, Training and Education Center (JATEC) was held in Kyiv on Saturday, April 26. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports this.
The meeting was attended by NATO Assistant Secretary General for Operations Tom Goffus, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Serhiy Boev, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Brigadier General Oleg Apostol, JATEC Commander Brigadier General Wojciech Ozga, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the NATO Office in Ukraine.
The meeting discussed strategic issues of developing the Joint Center, engaging partners, strengthening information systems, supporting education and training, increasing interoperability, and developing joint solutions to battlefield challenges.
“The ultimate goal of the projects is a just peace and security for Ukraine. Both sides are interested in the development of JATEC,” said Deputy Defense Minister Serhiy Boev.
Tom Goffus emphasized that the meeting in Kyiv was a testament to the Alliance's continued and unwavering support for Ukraine.
During the meeting, the Senior Supervisory Board approved the requirements for the Center's full operational readiness and agreed on work plans for 2025–2026.
