NATO has not reached an agreement on military aid to Ukraine

Defense ministers of NATO countries have not reached an agreement on the annual allocation of 40 billion dollars for military aid to Ukraine, Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said after the meeting in Brussels. He noted that there is still no consensus among NATO members on this issue, but many countries have expressed support for this initiative.

Stoltenberg added that NATO allies plan to return to discussing this issue in the near future. He also emphasized the importance of agreeing positions on the volume of long-term financial assistance and the issue of Ukraine's membership to the summit in Washington.

Earlier, Stoltenberg said that NATO is ready to continue military support to Ukraine worth billions, which has been provided since the beginning of the Russian invasion.
