The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) initiated an investigation due to numerous violations revealed in the declaration of the deputy head of the Odesa Regional Council, Oleksandr Urbanskyi. This was reported by the press service of the agency.
This was reported to the NAZK.
Earlier, in November 2024, during a full inspection of Urbanskyi's declaration for 2023, the NAZK found violations in the total amount of 540,000 hryvnias. In particular, the politician did not declare the 2021 Audi RS Q8 car, which he purchased in April 2023 at an understated price of 500,000 hryvnias. The real value of such a car can reach several million hryvnias.
In addition, the official provided unreliable information about the state of bank accounts. The declaration indicated a balance of 40,000 hryvnias, while in fact the account had a negative balance of minus 53,800 hryvnias.
During the inspection, it also became known that Urbansky previously sold the car he received from his ex-wife for 18 thousand hryvnias, but then sold it for more than 4 million hryvnias. Another car, the Audi SQ7, was also declared at an undervalued price — 500,000 hryvnias instead of the real 4.8 million.
Based on the facts of the unreliable declaration, the NAZK drew up an administrative report on a corruption offense under Part 4 of Article 172-6 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. The case materials were transferred to the Primorsky District Court of the city of Odesa. Urbansky faces a fine of 17,000 to 42,000 hryvnias.
However, during the preparation of the report, the official provided a document that, according to the NAKC, has signs of forgery. This became the reason for the agency's appeal to the police. Law enforcement officers of Odesa region have already started a pre-trial investigation into possible forgery of documents.
We will remind, despite the apartments worth millions and new cars, for the year 2023 the NAZK did not notice signs of illegal enrichment in any deputy
