Two employees of the National Anti -Corruption Bureau of Ukraine - Roman Nedov and Valentin Shmymyko - were in the center of a high -profile corruption scandal. According to the journalistic investigation informer.ua, detectives were exposed in the concealment of elite property, withdrawal of funds abroad and abuse of office. The editorial staff appealed to the NAPC with a call to start a check.
According to journalists, the deputy head of the NABU unit Roman Nedov, according to the mother -in -law, has issued several apartments in the capital, which later became the property of the wife. One of them is in the elite LCD "Sherwood" near the building of NABU itself. Schemes were used to transfer the property to reduce the declared area and value. For example, an apartment, which costs from $ 200 thousand, was officially estimated at $ 37,000. Such real estate appeared in the declaration as a gift to his wife.
Another apartment on the Airflotsky Avenue was transferred according to a similar scheme. In addition, the Nedova family uses a premium car, declared at a almost twice low price.
Detective Valentin Shmymyko, who has been heading another unit of the bureau, has declared large amounts of cash for years - up to two -thirds of his official income. According to the investigation, in 2024 he brought more than 4.3 million hryvnias abroad.
The material also states that Smyk's wife has been traveling regularly by Europe and the US from the beginning of a full -scale invasion, despite the fact that it officially receives social assistance in Ukraine.
Shmyko also appears in the case of helping his acquaintance to avoid mobilization. They were stopped with a large amount of cash, after which they found that it was wanted. Smymyko personally came to "resolve the issue", but the case came to the charge - from which he, according to journalists, "bogged" the management of NABU. The Uchilant also avoided mobilization.
Journalists point out that the described cases are not single. They urge the NAPC to carry out a large -scale check of assets and actions of NABU employees, which should be an example in the fight against corruption, not its embodiment.
