The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) rejected the widespread information about the appointment of the head of the Anti-Corruption Center, Vitaliy Shabunin, to military service in their ranks.
In response to an inquiry regarding Vitaliy Shabunin's employment at NAZK, the agency noted that he had never worked at this institution in any position, whether full-time or part-time.
Data disseminated by the mass media and their sources regarding Shabunin's employment in the National Army during the war are not confirmed by official information. During this period, Shabunin held a position in the Kyiv City Transport Enterprise and the Judicial Procedural Inspection, where he received a corresponding salary.
It is also noted that Shabunin's wife and children left for the USA during the war and receive social assistance there as refugees, but never received financial support from the US State Department, as some sources reported.
