Deputy Head of the Western Interregional Directorate of the MRF Serhiy Kondratyuk was in the center of corruption scandal. The NAPC's check found that he did not declare real estate and a car that was actually at his disposal.
One of the main points of the investigation was an apartment in Lviv with an area of 57.8 square meters, which was registered for a stranger. The official paid for utilities, regularly made nearby, although officially lived in the village of Volia-Kovelska, located 185 kilometers from his workplace.
Investigators attracted separate attention of the Volkswagen Touareg 2023 release car designed on his son Roman. Although the son went abroad in October 2023, the car continued to use Kondratyuk himself, which confirm the penalties for traffic violations in October and November. In addition, the official's declaration does not reflect the real amount received from the sale of another car - the Skoda Kodiaq, which belonged to his wife.
The NAPC has transferred the case file to law enforcement, since the total amount of undeclared assets exceeds UAH 5.4 million. Sergiy Kondratyuk is threatened with criminal liability for the introduction of deliberately false information in the declaration in accordance with Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
This case again draws attention to the problem of transparency among civil servants, especially those who work with large taxpayers.
