The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) found significant violations in the declaration of Yuriy Zozuli, the former head of the patrol police of Kyiv, in the amount of 2.45 million hryvnias. This became known after a full check of Zozuli's declaration for 2022, published by the agency.
NAZK points out that the declaration did not specify several important elements of the property used by the ex-offender's family. In particular, Zozulya did not specify the house with an area of 153.6 square meters in the village of Severynivka, Buchansky district, which was used by his family. In addition, the wife's apartment in Kyiv with an area of 35.4 square meters, the value of which was estimated by the NAZK at 1.5 million hryvnias, was not mentioned. Zozulya explained this by the fact that the apartment was purchased before their marriage.
Inconsistencies were also found regarding the Ford Explorer car, which is registered to his wife, but was not listed in the declaration. The cost of this car is estimated at 950 thousand hryvnias. In addition, it turned out that Zozulya had a significant debt for communal services - more than 120 thousand hryvnias.
During the inspection, it was also established that Yuri Zozuli's father purchased a Harley-Davidson motorcycle in 2020, although he did not have a category A driver's license, which raises suspicions about this transaction. The value of the motorcycle is estimated in the range from 200 to 500 thousand hryvnias.
Based on the discovered facts, the NAKC reported a possible offense under part 1 of Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which concerns the submission of false information in the declaration.
