The National Bank of Ukraine has presented a new commemorative coin with a face value of 5 hryvnias, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the introduction of administrative justice. The coin, titled "Administrative Justice of Ukraine", will go on sale from July 2.
As noted in the NBU, the new coin marks an important milestone in the history of the Ukrainian legal system. The adoption of the Code of Administrative Procedure on July 6, 2005 became the basis for the formation of a separate branch of justice, which regulates public-legal relations between a citizen and the state. This strengthened trust in the principle of the rule of law and brought Ukraine closer to European legal standards.
The obverse of the coin features the inscription “Administrative Judiciary of Ukraine” and the small State Emblem. In the center is an open book as a symbol of knowledge and legality, as well as the inscription “20 years” in a laurel wreath, emphasizing the anniversary.
The reverse is decorated with the inscription “Rule of Law”, a column as a symbol of the inviolability of the rule of law and the scales of justice. The words “Justice” and “Impartiality” are inscribed around the circle, separated by stylized circles.
The coin is made of nickel silver, an alloy of copper, nickel, and zinc. Its circulation is limited to 50,000 pieces. It will be sold in souvenir packaging.
You can purchase a commemorative coin starting June 24 through the NBU's online store of numismatic products, as well as at the following distributing banks: Ukrgasbank, TAScombank, PrivatBank, Oschadbank, and FUIB.
