Stereotypes about safe "women's" work have not corresponded to reality for a long time. Many popular professions in women are actually serious health risks - both physical and mental. And it is not only about harmful production, but also about the familiar at first glance.
Take at least educators. In schools and universities, women work mostly, but stable and "quiet" work of the teacher is only an illusion. Daily conflicts with students or parents, emotional burnout, as well as chronic voice problems are all the consequences of regular stress and linguistic load. Call centers who have to talk a lot and deal with annoyed customers are approaching such risks.
The profession of flight attendant looks glamorous from the outside, but outside the cameras is a continuous load on the body. Frequent flights, climate change, pressure drops, night flights and unstable graph literally biorhythms. It hit the nervous, digestive, reproductive systems. And all this is against the background of constant stress.
Similarly affects the health and work of the waitress. In addition to emotional exhaustion from communication with clients, there is physical: constant wearing heavy trays, working on the feet, in an inconvenient form or shoe. The body quickly reacts with pain in the back, shoulders and legs.
It would seem that less intense sedentary work - journalism or office sphere - is not so safe. Prolonged stay in front of the monitor spoils vision, leads to muscle tension and disorders of the posture. Often the so -called tunnel syndrome appears, and chronic fatigue becomes everyday life, despite physical real estate.
Even an acting profession that seems creative and free contains numerous risks. The schedule of actresses is irregular, nutrition is chaotic, and emotional load - enormous. Well rehearsals, night shoots, the need to keep yourself in shape, playing under pressure and on the verge of strength - all this depletes the body and provokes nervous breakdowns.
The modern woman, regardless of the profession, often works in conditions far from safe. Although medical examinations, sports and healthy eating can mitigate the consequences a little, the main thing is to realize the risks and take care of yourself not only at the level of prevention, but also at the level of professional choice.
