In the Podilskyi district of Kyiv, during work, a local resident discovered a suspicious package that likely contained grenades. This was reported by the Kyiv Patrol Police.
It is noted that the “112” line received a report about the discovery of a dangerous object. The applicant said that he discovered a package with possible grenades near the work site. The police arrived at the address, cordoned off the scene and called investigators and explosives technicians.
The police are reporting on the algorithm of actions - what to do if you find a dangerous object:
- keep calm;
- report a suspicious object to people nearby;
- mark or fence off the place where the dangerous find is located;
- immediately report the explosive to the security services;
- do not try to move the suspicious object or change its position;
- wait at a safe distance from the object for explosive ordnance disposal technicians or rescuers.
In 2024, in the village of Maly Berezny in Transcarpathia, a woman detonated a grenade during a feast - almost the entire family died, only her 14-year-old son survived, who called the police. An investigative and operational group, as well as forensic laboratory inspectors, were called. In the apartment in the middle of the room, the police found the bodies of three people: the applicant's 32-year-old mother, his 55-year-old grandmother and 70-year-old grandfather.
