The body of a citizen of Ukraine who illegally crossed the border with a companion was found in Romania. The body was found in the region near the border with Ukraine. On Saturday, August 31, a 26-year-old citizen of Ukraine was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head in Botosani county in northern Romania. Next to him, investigators found a hunting weapon, writes News.ro.
It is reported that the emergency service received a signal at around eight in the morning from a man from the George Enescu commune in Botosani. He stated that a dead citizen of Ukraine was in his house.
"Police officers who went to the place found that the stated facts are confirmed: a well-known young man of 26 years old, who had a gunshot wound to the head, and a hunting weapon was next to him. Now, an on-site inspection is being conducted to establish all the circumstances of what happened," the newspaper writes with reference to information from law enforcement agencies.

The investigators managed to establish that the murdered man had been in the country for several days. He illegally crossed the border together with another Ukrainian and they allegedly lived together. At this time, the location of the second person has not been established.
