The former head of the liquidated Cherkasy Regional Center for Medical and Social Expertise, Natalia Masenko, is being investigated as part of an investigation into possible illicit enrichment. The investigation is examining the origin of assets that, according to preliminary data, could have been acquired between 2020 and 2024.
According to law enforcement agencies, the property is worth significant amounts, some of which was registered in the names of close relatives. Investigators do not rule out that the actual ownership and management of these assets could have remained with the former head of the institution.
In particular, the investigation established the purchase or registration of several expensive vehicles for relatives. Among them are a 2022 Volkswagen ID.4 electric car worth about 1.25 million hryvnias, a 2021 Land Rover Discovery Sport SUV with an estimated cost of 1.56 million hryvnias, as well as a 2020 Jaguar I-Pace and a 2017 Alfa Romeo Stelvio. Some of these vehicles were registered to the husband and wife of the son.
In addition to the cars, law enforcement officers are checking the origin of real estate. This includes an 87-square-meter apartment worth almost 4.8 million hryvnias, a non-food store with an area of over 330 square meters, and a garage. Part of this property was registered in the name of the daughter-in-law and her husband.
In her declaration, Natalia Masenko listed only her husband, Oleksandr Synyogub, to whom several expensive cars are registered. The couple's son, Igor Synyogub, works in the Security Service of Ukraine, according to media reports.
At the same time, several real estate objects have been declared as property of Natalia Masenko herself: an apartment with an area of 91.6 square meters in Cherkasy, an apartment in Smila with an area of 34.45 square meters, as well as a land plot with an area of 1,200 square meters in the village of Moshny.
Her husband owns a residential building in the village of Mala Smilyanka, two plots of land in the same village, and an apartment in Cherkasy. Another apartment in the city is jointly owned by the couple.
The family's declared income, according to the investigation, does not correlate with the value of the discovered assets. In particular, Natalia Masenko's income in 2025 consisted of salary and pension for a total amount of about 227 thousand hryvnias. Her husband declared a pension, income from entrepreneurial activity, as well as interest on bank deposits.
The legality of the acquisition of property and financial transactions is currently being verified. Final conclusions will be made after the completion of investigative actions and legal assessment of the collected materials.
