A fire broke out in a hotel and restaurant complex in Irpen, Kyiv region, caused by a malfunction in the heating system. The fire broke out in the boiler room, which led to the evacuation of five guests and the injury of one employee.
According to the Main Directorate of the National Police and the State Emergency Service in the Kyiv region, the fire was reported at 09:07 a.m. Having promptly arrived at the scene, firefighters evacuated five visitors to the complex, and one of the employees born in 1974 received burns on his hands while trying to put out the fire on his own.
The fire was extinguished at 09:29, preventing serious damage to the hotel and restaurant complex. As reported by the State Emergency Service, the cause of the fire and material damage are currently being determined. Previously, the fire was caused by a malfunction in the heating system.
