Nestlé has announced the opening of a new factory in Ukraine, which will be located in Smolyhov, Volyn. This new production facility will become part of a culinary products hub and will be focused on the production of products, including for export to the European Union. Investments in the new plant amount to $45 million.
The factory is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of this year, and a number of important construction works have already been completed. In particular, a 500 kW solar power plant has been installed, with plans to increase its capacity to 1,200 kW. This will contribute to increased energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
Currently, recruitment for the new factory is underway: the company has already hired over 100 employees and has opened the same number of vacancies, which indicates the active development of the project and the creation of new jobs.
It should be noted that Nestlé continues its operations in the Russian market, although it has suspended exports and imports of certain products to Russia and has also canceled investments in production in Russia. This decision is in line with the company's strategy to adjust its operations in the face of a changing market environment and political situation.
