In California, a unique archive with unreleased Michael Jackson songs recorded in the period 1989-1991 was accidentally discovered in an abandoned warehouse. Among the materials found are a previously unknown duet with rapper LL Cool J and personal recordings of Jackson's conversations during studio work.
The warehouse where the records were found was previously owned by music producer Brian Loren, whose whereabouts are currently unknown. Among the found are 12 songs that Jackson recorded between 1989 and 1991, before the release of the album "Dangerous".
What is known about the records:
Some of the songs were previously mentioned on fan sites but never made public.
In one of the songs, "Don't Believe It", Jackson probably alludes to the rumors that spread about him in the media.
Another composition, "Seven Digits", mentions the identification numbers of bodies in the morgue.
The most interesting track is "Truth on Youth" - Jackson's duet with rapper LL Cool J, in which the pop legend raps.
According to Musgrove, the recordings also include Jackson discussing the creative process and even joking around.
This is a real treasure. Listening to such unique materials is incredibly exciting
Unfortunately, the recordings cannot be officially released. Representatives of Michael Jackson's estate refused to buy them, although they confirmed that they do not claim ownership of the carriers themselves.
However, they emphasized that the copyright to the music belongs to Jackson's estate, so public release of these recordings is not possible.
Musgrove plans to auction the records. Their value is estimated in the millions of dollars, and they will probably add to the private collection of Michael Jackson fans.
A biographical film about the singer Michael Jackson will be released in the spring of 2025.
