Apple's new iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone Air smartphones have only been on the market for a few days, and they're already receiving a wave of complaints from users. Hundreds of owners are reporting sudden Wi-Fi drops on MacRumors, Reddit, and the Apple Support Community.
According to users, the problem most often occurs immediately after unlocking the gadget: the network disappears, and then automatically restores. A particular annoyance is that the connection with CarPlay is broken while driving, which can create inconvenience for drivers.
All iPhone 17 models are equipped with the new Apple N1 chip, which supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread. Experts believe that the problem is not hardware-related, but is caused by a software glitch. Apple is expected to fix it in the near future with an iOS update.
Users are advised to temporarily reboot the device or manually turn Wi-Fi off and on if the problem persists.
